The four-stage odor removal process
- Source removal. No deodorization works if the source is still there. We remove smoke-saturated drywall, mold-bearing materials, contaminated insulation, etc.
- Surface cleaning. Hard surfaces cleaned with appropriate solutions (alkaline for protein smoke, acid for tannin smoke, enzymatic for biological).
- Air treatment. Thermal fogging fills the space with odor-neutralizing fog that penetrates the same way smoke did. Hydroxyl generators run continuously breaking down odor molecules. Ozone treatment for severe cases (unoccupied during treatment).
- HEPA air scrubbing. Filter airborne particulates and re-test air quality.
